G&K TechMedia GmbH - History

The company was founded October 1, 1989 by Jutta-Maria Geiger and Wolfgang Klos-Geiger. Initially the main focus was contract work for other publishers and exhibition organisers. A gap in the market place was identified and in September 1990 the first issue of Flexo+Tief-Druck was published. The magazine was met with a good response and today counts as the leading technology-orientated publication in the German speaking market place in Europe.

1993 saw the launch of Etiketten-Labels - the only German language specialist publication for the self-adhesive roll label, tags and similar narrow-web product markets.

The extremely positive response to the two German language magazines resulted in the launch of Flexo & Gravure Int'l in 1995 which was received with enthusiasm globally.
After the re-integration of Flexo & Gravure Asia in Fall 2011, the merger of the title was re-named to Flexo & Gravure Global as of January 2012.

1998 saw the launch of NarroWebTech, the English language sister publication of Etiketten-Labels for the industry segment self adhesive roll labels and tags, folding carton and package printing on narrow-web presses.

Since September 2002 Flexo & Gravure Asia had served the markets in Asia, Australia/New Zealand and the Pacific Rim pertaining information on flexo and gravure package printing. In Fall 2011 the publication was re-integrated into Flexo & Gravure Int’l.

As logical extension to the existing portfolio Packaging Films was launched in October 2010. This new magazine (in English) concentrates on the production and processing of plastic films and laminates for the packaging industry (flexible packaging, pouches, bags, sacks).
